Adaptable Rear And Front Bicycle Seats

The child seat is an essential item if you want to take your child on a bike. Basically, there are two types of child seats: front and rear. Let's say that the front seat is what you will use for the first few months, it is important to keep in mind that it will only be used once the child is able to sit independently and with his head upright. This will presumably happen around 8-9 months of life.

The characteristics it must possess are:

– the child seat must be universal, only in this way can it be mounted without difficulty on any type of bicycle;
– the seat must have padding, in this way the comfort level of your child will be adequate;
– the child seat must have safety belts, since in the event of particularly abrupt braking there is a risk that the child could fall forward;
– the seat must be equipped with a windshield, especially if you decide to ride a bike during the winter, it is essential to protect the child from the elements.
When the child starts to grow, it will later be necessary to purchase a rear seat. The characteristics that a seat of this type must have are almost identical to those of the front seat. It should be emphasized, however, that these seats are suitable for all those bikes equipped with a luggage rack. Therefore, in the case of mountain bikes and racing bikes, buying a child seat with a luggage rack connection is useless. But that doesn't mean that it won't be possible to take your child for a walk, it just means that you will have to opt for a rear seat with a frame attachment. There are also reclining rear bike seats, this is the perfect solution if you are afraid that your child may fall asleep. Whether it's newborns or slightly older children, safety is essential when you ride them on a bike. For this reason, in addition to the child seat, it is also important that they wear a helmet, this should be chosen on the basis of the following criteria:
– shock attenuation capacity;
– resistance of the strap;
– ability to stay ahead during a collision;
– comfort;
– ease of fastening and unfastening;
